Should I Go for the LED Product with the Highest Brightness?

Not really. The brightness of the transparent LED screen should be determined by the actual application scenario for your project. For an indoor environment which is dim, a brightness of 800nits can be enough for the screen to be very visible. But if the indoor is well-lit, the screen with 800nits will be overshadowed resulting in vague imagery, and a higher brightness of up to 2500nits should be necessary. And if the Mesh Screen is intended to be placed at the front glass window where the screen has to compete with direct sunlight, the brightness has to be improved subsequently.

Pixel pitch refers to the distance between the center of two adjacent pixels. A smaller pixel indicates a higher pixel density, higher resolution and clarity of the images presented, and higher manufacturing costs.

For the LED screen sizing from 1㎡ to 5㎡ with high demand for clarity, P2.5 (pixel pitch of 2.5mm) is suggested. Screen size less than 10㎡ is recommended with P3.91, and for a cost-effective LED solution taking up more than 10㎡, P7.81 is preferable.

What’s IP Rating and How Could I Decide on the Right IP for My Transparent Video Wall?

IP stands for Ingress Protection, indicating the level of how electronics are protected against potentially hazardous external sources of two categories, solid like dust and liquids such as rain.

Subsequently, IP rating consists of two digits. The first digit ranges from 0-6, with 0 indicating no protection from solids and 6 the maximum protection.
